Thriller force Sons to Splinter
After managing to keep their undefeated streak alive, Thriller found themselves coming up against Sons of Splinter in what shaped as an opportunity to get back in a bit of form before playing the previous season's champions.

Thriller received first and had big intentions of scoring quickly to give themselves a chance at improving their TD scoring skills after a slow start to the season.

Whilst they were able to move the ball easily around the pitch, they slowed their drive simply because they weren't removing many Sons from the pitch and they wanted to work on their blocking.

As the half drew to a close, they gave the ball to Wacko and let him get his first TD for the team.

As the game moved into the second half, an early foul in the game was starting to prove it's worth as the Rat Ogre continued to remain Knocked Out.

Struggling to have many players return from the KO'd bin, the Sons were short of numbers, and despite a quick dash down a sideline, they soon found themselves cornered and the ball was knocked free and soon in the hands of Thriller again.

Thriller again saw this as an opportunity to practice their blocking and by the end of the match, they were able to clear all the Sons players from the pitch before scoring a final TD on the siren and winning 2-0.

Thriller stall in Da Waaagh
After a successful return to the pitch, Thriller found themselves playing one of the more experienced and hardened teams in season 15, in the form of Da WAAAGHABIES.

Thriller received first and looked to get strong hits in against a tough opponent that would always be able to compete whilst they had the numbers on the pitch.

Thriller feinted one side and tried to get the strike weapon, Killer, to remove some of the Orcs, however, they were only successful in drawing DAWA players to open up one side, not in removing many Orcs.

With some space opening up, Thriller ran in a TD to take an early lead. however there was still plenty of time in the half for DAWA to come back.

It was a steady drive made by DAWA through the rest of the half, and they even managed to injure Killer and get him out of the match, but Thriller showed a lot of experience and still managed to knock the ball free from their grasp and prevent a levelling TD by the half.

In an obvious sign of frustration, DAWA came out in the second half and put on a strong blocking display which started to reduce the numbers of Thriller players on the pitch and put themselves in a position to score late in the game and level the scores.

Thriller had been able to exert a little pressure though and had some time up their sleeve to attempt a game winning TD, however their time away from the pitch started to show and they lacked the execution required to get into open space with the ball and ended the game tied at 1 all.

Thriller strut like Peacocks
After a season off, Thriller have found their way back to the pitch of the West Coast League and as 3 times champions they were matched up against the wooden spooners from the previous 2 seasons.

Thriller found themselves receiving right from the very first kick-off as they lined up against A.M.P All Mighty Peacocks who fancied themselves a shot at possibly the biggest upset and were ready to play as such.

Thriller started off with some strong hitting and a bit of gusto with intentions of scoring quickly to get some challenges completed in the traditional opening round event. It wasn't long before a few A.M.P players were off the pitch and Thriller scored.

A.M.P were undeterred though, and despite Thriller many up closely with all the players they pushed downfield, A.M.P were bold and sent the pass and dashed away to score to level the match.

Thriller managed to continue the strong hitting when the received again and by the half, they had whittled down the A.M.P numbers and scored a second TD to lead at the half.

Again, A.M.P were bold and pushed for another quick TD, again easily catching the ball and dodging away to level the game again.

Thriller had learnt a lesson by now and realised to give A.M.P the ball back, they might easily score again and level the game, so they made the decision to hold onto the ball as long as possible.

As the game drew to a close, Thriller had whittled down the A.M.P numbers on the pitch and were able to walk in the final winning TD on the siren to secure a 3-2 win and make a winning return.

Thriller smoke WEED
In another showdown against the team they struggled against most in the regular season, Thriller have played Wood Elf Elysium Division in the WCL Championship match.

During the regular season, Thriller had to fight from behind and only managed to secure the draw in the dying moments against WEED who started fast. Knowing what WEED were capable of and knowing what it takes to win a championship, Thriller came in with a better attitude and better control against WEED in this championship match. Another handy addition to the game plan, was a Legendary Lineman mercenary who had a particular fascination with fouling his opponents, he proved very successful.

It was Thriller who received first from the kick-off and it was a steady as she goes mentality, with a simple aim, work for a numbers advantage and keep the ball away from WEED. As the match progressed, Thriller managed to sort of achieve both, easily keeping the ball away from WEED however, only mostly KOing their opponents rather than hurting them and keeping them off the pitch. Luckily though, one of the first players Knocked Out was the treeman from WEED with a solid boot to the head which was enough to keep him out for the whole match.

As the half progressed, Thriller waited near the endzone and walked it in as late as they could. WEED weren't going to just sit there and take it though, and with the mere seconds left in the first half, they set themselves for a one turn touchdown and with a few spare reolls up their sleeve, snuck down a sideline and dodged their way to a 1-1 scoreline at the half.

Into the second half, Thriller were keen to get at WEED quickly and started with a Blitz. Knowing they had speed themselves, they were able to put themselves into a position to pressure the ball carrier, yet react and defend if required. as a result, WEED felt the pressure to push directly up the middle instead and push the ball forward quick than usual.

Thriller quickly turned the ball over and started to push to a sideline themselves, however, they were unable to close all the gaps to their ball carrier and WEED soon found themselves with the ball again. WEED weren't in a position to stall though and quickly threw the ball downfield to a marked catcher who only had to dodge clear to give WEED the lead. Thriller luckily had Creature marking the catcher and his newly learnt skill of Tackle proved pivotal as he tackled the catcher as he dodged, causing the ball to bounce clear and give himself the opportunity to regather and set into a better defended position.

By this point, Thriller were warming into their groove and following the game plan better, hurting more WEED players and giving themselves the opportunity to score the winning TD right as the siren sounded.

Thriller again walked away with a 2-1 victory and the WCL Championship, winning their third title from 3 seasons played and continuing their unprecedented dominance of the WCL and undefeated streak of 30 games.

Thriller Ice the victory
Thriller have won their way through to their 3rd Grand Final in 3 seasons after playing The Ice BearS in the Semi Final and securing a 2-1 victory right at the end.

TIBS brought with them a couple of well known Star Players to try secure them victory, being Ivar Eriksson and Cindy Piewhistle.

It was Thriller that got the better of the start of the match by receiving the kick-off and quickly removing 4 TIBS players from the pitch via Knock-Outs, 3 of them through a fumbled bomb from Cindy Piewhistle.

From here it was a slow and steady grind from Thriller who did their best to injure as many TIBS players as possible, however they were unable to finish off their opponents. As the half came close to ending, Thriller scored a TD, but the casualty count was even at 1 a piece.

Just prior to the kick-off, the time keepers felt they had missed something during a Riot and this gave TIBS a little extra time to try level the score, and after getting back 4 of their 5 Knocked Out players, they came close, but still couldn't get over the line.

During the second half, Thriller got some players back, however, were still missing 2 of their better players and it showed as TIBS were able to make a strong drive deep into Thriller's half. Thriller counteracted this a little with a few casualties, however, were still a little undermanned when it came to stopping TIBS from levelling the match.

With a quarter of the match remaining, Thriller postured to make a steady drive, however plans were changed a bit when the ball was kicked deep and TIBS got a Blitz, which ended quickly fortunately as a TIBS player stuffed up.

As Thriller settled back into the drive, they settled into the common routine and soon were able to close off a side of the pitch for themselves before sending Beast in to score on the siren.

Thriller start Peacocking
Thriller have played their last match of the regular season against a gallant A.M.P All Mighty Peacocks and again managed to extend their undefeated streak by getting a 3-1 win.

After getting a Blitz from the kickoff, Thriller looked to get a fast start in the Sweltering Heat, however, with the help of a well known star player, Eldril Sidewinder, and a sneaky Hypnotic Gaze, it was AMP that got the first TD.

From here Thriller we’re looking to hit back quickly, but unusually, their hitting was quite soft and they were removing many AMP players. Soon AMP were able to get in a hit on the ball carrier which went into the crowd, and it was obviously an elf who got the ball as he threw it 12 squares towards the AMP endzone.

Thriller we’re able to recover well enough and were able to still score at the end of the half to level the scores.

As the second half started, there still wasn’t too much effect from the Sweltering Heat as only 1 player went down from each team. Thriller with a particular game plan in mind and again quickly pushed for it, through the second half, their hitting became a bit more effective and soon they found themselves with enough space and a chance to score midway through the half.

AMP saw an opportunity from here and looked to level quickly despite only 6 players on the pitch, and had a glimmer of hope shine for a moment when Beast fell over trying to Blitz the ball carrier. From here AMP successfully jumped over Beast, but then tripped over when trying to do the final dodge and missed their opportunity.

From here, Thriller again collected the ball and were able to quickly transition downfield with no AMP players in their backfield by that point and completed their desired game plan and won 3-1.

Thriller finished the regular season in first place and now await to see who their semi final opponent will be.

Thriller too much for Daughters
Thriller have played their Round 5 match against a well backed up Daughters of Anubis who, along with the Jorneywomen that joined them, found themselves supported by two Mercenaries and Grak and Crumbleberry.

In the early stages, the additional players were helpful to stop Thriller from getting any big roll on, but they soon found themselves crumbling once Thriller were able to start concentrating their numbers.

As Thriller started to thin out the Daughters, they were able to grind their way up the field and as half time approached, they scored to confirm the dominance they had gained to that point.

After haltime the weather turned and saw the rain come in. It wasn't an issue for the Daughters who collected the ball with ease. The main concern for the Daughters though was that even despite having all the extra players join the team, they had still had too many players get injured by haltime, that they struggled to stop the pressure that was coming from Thriller.

It wasn't long before Thriller got the ball free and to the ground, but it appeared that as soon as it did hit the ground, it became a bar of soap and it took Thriller a long time to finally regather it.

Once they did however, it was a clean run into the endzone and a comfortable win 2-0 in the end.

The win continued the undefeated streak the Thriller have established since their entry into the league, extending the league record and also setting a new record for the region including other leagues.

Aggression doesn’t help for a Thriller
It was another commissioner showdown as Thriller took on Sheer Naked Aggression in their round 4 match up and it looked like Commissioner Frostie was trying to please this season’s latest star player by hiring Adrifa for the match.

It was an unexpected move from SNA, as Commissioner Watto was expecting SNA to bring more firepower rather than finesse. And it nearly paid off for SNA.

The match started with SNA receiving and quickly setting themselves up for a push down a sideline. Thriller moved to cover it and seemed to have a decent majority of the field covered, however SNA went for their long range attempt to score sooner than expected by Thriller and it nearly caught them unaware.

The saving grace for Thriller was that Adrifa stumbled as she pushed hard in the final rush to score and dropped the ball out of play beyond the end zone and soon the fans threw it as far away from the SNA players as possible.

Thriller were in a fortunate position to have built a numbers advantage, plus had a natural speed advantage and were soon sitting with the ball comfortably ready to score whenever they felt like it, which they did prior to half time.

In the second half, SNA were very depleted on numbers, but not on enthusiasm as Adrifa led a Blitz and nearly took control of the ball from the kickoff. A failed catch however left her in a vulnerable position.

Again Thriller took advantage of the superior numbers and speed and were pushing for a quick TD with hopes of scoring a potential 3rd after getting a stronger numbers advantage.

Commissioner Frostie must have had some inspiring words though as the SNA players were much keener to get back on the pitch for this drive, but it must have left the Bloodspawn confused as he skulled out almost straight away and Thriller we’re able to start putting pressure on the ball.

It wasn’t long before Thriller were trying to contest for the ball, but as the siren sounded, it was all just a little too tightly protected by the few SNA players near the ball and Thriller had to settle for the 2-0 win.

Thriller goes off with a Puff
Thriller have got themselves back on the pitch again this season in a match against one of the fellow Commissioner teams, Puff the Dragons.

Thriller were again hoping to get themselves off to a quicker start and after receiving, they were beaten to the punch straight away by the Dragons who got a Blitz. Thankfully for Thriller, the blodging Blitzer got too eager to get near the ball and fell over trying to Rush.

From here, Thriller were able to quickly steady the ship and get themselves into a tight pack to progress the ball up field. A little blip came up early for Thriller when Zolcath the Zoat (who had joined the Dragons for the match) managed to Badly Hurt a Flesh Golem.

It wasn't long though before Thriller were able to break free and get deep into the Dragons backfield and then controlled the less experienced Dragons around midfield. As the half came to close, Thriller ran in their first TD.

In the second half the numbers were fairly even for both teams and as the Dragons got into their first drive, a bad block left them a little vulnerable.

Thriller were then able to get a crack at the ball carrier, however they failed in their attempt and left a little hole that the Dragons were desperate to push for.

The experience of Thriller though allowed them to quickly strangle that gap and soon the Dragons were in a tricky position on the sideline.

Undaunted by their predicament, the Dragons played their best Elf game and trusted in their dodging and passing skills to get a levelling TD.

From the next kick-off, a deep kick and changing weather meant a touchback resulted and Thriller were able to take possession at the halfway line straight away, and with a quarter of the match left, they again put themselves into a caging mode to push down a sideline.

The experience showed through again as they were able to move fairly unabated, however that didn't stop the Dragons from trying a last ditch effort to try knock the ball free. This time though, despite being able to Elf their way in, it was again a rush that ended their run.

As the final siren sounded, Thriller ran in the winning TD and finally got themselves a win in regular time for the first time this season.

Sluggish effect of WEED lead to Thriller
Thriller have quickly backed up their round one match to get their second round match in against one of the other contenders for the season Wood Elf Elysium Division.

Having had a bit of a slow start to their first round match, Coach Watto was hoping that getting Thriller straight back into the action might be a good idea, however it was obvious that Thriller hadn't kept up their conditioning whilst away from the pitch, with a very sluggish start.

WEED came into the match with a swathe of journeymen keen to prove themselves along with a couple of chainsaw wielding maniacs in the form of Helmut Wulf and a mercenary.

Thriller weren't phased by the chainsaws, however in the Blizzard, it was obvious that the layer of snow was effecting their footing and they couldn't dodge to save themselves, this gave WEED all the impetus they needed and they snuck through for the first TD.

Thriller, down both werewolves (one to injury and the other knocked out) had to take their game back to basics from here and worked on a slow grind drive down one of the sidelines. It wasn't easy going though, their block was still leaving a lot to be desired and they were not injuring any opponents to make life easier. The still managed to keep enough control of the ball though and were able to level up right at the end of the half.

Just before the half ended though, they still had to start the drive again and an unexpected Time-Out by the ref led to WEED having an opportunity to get ahead again, which they were able to take full advantage of and they went into half time leading 2-1.

Into the second half and WEED were receiving again, putting themselves into a commanding position to end the undefeated streak of Thriller. Thriller soon got themselves into a threatening position which led to WEED rushing down a sideline unprotected, however when Thriller caught up, their inadequate Blocking showed again, and they were unable to stop WEED taking a 3-01 lead.

Thriller were starting to get desperate now and realised if they had any chance of keeping their record alive, they would need to start hurting WEED and get the next TD in good time. A Quick Snap gave them the incentive they needed and with a good couple of minutes, they removed about 3 opponents from the pitch and scored in quick time.

As the clock was winding down, Thriller put their foot down, and after finally getting themselves a decent numbers advantage, were able to stop WEED from getting into a serious position to score whilst also putting pressure onto the thrower in the backfield. As the siren was getting ready to sound and the ball back in possession of Thriller, the thrower from WEED made on last desperate attempt to get the ball back, however failed and Thriller scored to level the match.

Thriller announced they would be willing to go into overtime, however WEED could see the writing on the wall with the numbers firmly in favour of Thriller now and the game ended a 3-3 draw.

Through a tough and miraculous effort, Thriller were able to keep their undefeated streak alive still, however it is getting obvious for Coach Watto that if they keep starting slowly, the streak may come to an end very soon.

Thriller Tip the Scales in their favour
Thriller have made a comeback to the WCL after a 2 season break and they are out to set the record straight and bring the records back to themselves instead of sharing them with Perun Heralds 863.

As the season kicks off, Thriller currently share 2 records with Perun Heralds 863, the longest undefeated streak (20 games undefeated each) and the only 2 teams to have won the WCL twice.

To start the season Thriller issued a challenge to a familiar coach to them, but also put themselves in a position to play an experienced team to give themselves a worthy opponent in their comeback game, against the Scale Tippers.

As the game kicked off, it was obvious that Thriller have a bit of rust from not playing for a while, and despite being able to get a 1-0 lead deep into the first half, they weren't able to stall long enough and they gave the Tippers enough time to level the scores at the half.

Into the second half and Thriller again were unable to stop the Tippers from reaching the endzone, and the undefeated streak looked like it could be under threat. It was obvious they hadn't really practiced any blocking whilst away as they were really hurting their opponents.

Thriller slowly warned to the task though and soon found themselves doing just enough to claw their way back into the contest and level the scores by fulltime.

It was then decision time, Thriller were aware that in other matches, Perun Heralds 863 had lost their match and their undefeated streak was over, Thriller had the record to themselves with this result, however it still didn't sit well with Coach Watto and seeing that both teams had 8 players available for a possible overtime, he considered his players to have the better skills and be more than worthy of attempting to get the win instead. Coach Watto said yes to overtime and Coach Jinxed followed very closely otherwise with the gutsy call to still try ruin the streak.

In overtime the Tippers received, but a Blitz from the kick-off left them in a precarious position and Thriller were soon threatening the ball carrier. A short time later and Killer was in and on the ball and streaking away to score the TD.

As overtime continued on, it was obvious that Thriller had finally warmed to the match, especially Killer who was running wild and again, caused a turn off and was off and racing. As the final siren sounded, he ran in his 3rd TD for the match and helped secure a 4-2 win for Thriller, giving them a good start for the season and the undefeated streak all to themselves again.

Thriller show the Crew the Championship
Thriller have managed to keep the undefeated streak alive and set a new record in WCL history, becoming the first team to collect back to back Championships after defeating the CoLAG Crew 1-0 in a tight affair.

Both teams decided they were going to hire some assistance for the match, the Crew hiring a mercenary, a Warplock Engineer and a Keg, Thriller hiring 3 mercenaries.

With the teams set to play, it was the Crew who decided to kick. From here Thriller we’re able to remove a couple of the Crew early from the pitch, but otherwise decided to make a long drawn out drive, working their best to remove as many of the Crew as possible before scoring very late in the half.

The Crew felt like the still had a chance themselves to level the score, however a slight miscalculation in how they set up, meant they didn’t get the One Turn Touchdown they were trying for, and didn’t get to level the scores.

By this stage though, Thriller had a handy numbers advantage into the second half and were able to stifle the attempts of the Crew to move the ball. And when their numbers advantage grew, they got into a position to threaten the ball instead.

By midway through the half they secured the ball from the Crew which meant the Crew had to get desperate to stop Thriller. And whilst the Crew were able to regain the ball for a moment, they weren’t able to make any inroads and soon gave up the ball again.

As the game neared an end and the ball near the endzone for Thriller to score, Thriller instead took to hitting rather than scoring as they knew the game was secure. This resulted in them not actually scoring a second TD.

Thriller of a Knight leads to GF
Thriller have booked themselves into back to back WCL Championship matches with a chance to win back to back WCL Championships after overcoming their Championship opponent, the Drakenhof Knights, in the Semi Final.

The match started with the stadium having a Reputation for Spectacle and giving both teams some extra money for inducements. But already suspecting these teams would create a spectacle, they only gave 20K GP to either team.

Thriller were keen to make sure their was spectacle though and hired 2 Mercenaries to join them, dipping into their own treasury, a Legendary Lineman and a Brutal Blocker.

The match started with the Knights receiving, Thriller kicked the ball deep. From here it ended up a real arm wrestle between both teams with neither team really getting any advantage at any point, neither team really hit that hard either with a couple of KO's each the only highlight.

The Knights made a strong push down the right sideline though as it seemed Thriller had over committed to the left, however Thriller still had plenty of speed to spare and were quickly over and covering the thrust, turning over the Knights and making their own push for a TD. The Knights were able to desperately cover across the pitch themselves though and stopped Thriller from scoring to see the game even at halftime.

Thriller received in the second half and looked to set up a strong side for themselves. But after a sluggish start to the half and the Brutal Blocker letting them down for a moment, the Knights were able to pressure Thriller.

The Brutal Blocker soon made up for his earlier mistake, removing a Mummy from the pitch, however with the pressure, they soon stumbled and lost the ball themselves.

The Knights were able to recover the ball soon after and made a desperate push for a TD with a Ghoul getting right next to the Endzone before being caught and KO'd. The strong chase from Thriller saw them invigorated though and immediately after another 2 Knights were cleared from the pitch, giving Thriller a handy numbers advantage.

Thriller then made a fast dash up the field to push for the winning TD. and despite a numbers advantage the Knights weren't going to give in, still hitting as hard as they could, stripping the ball free when it looked like Thriller were in range for the winning TD.

Staying composed though, Thriller were able to recover the ball and Rush in for the go ahead TD, relying on their Sure Feet to get it done.

Up 1-0 and with mere moments left on the clock, nothing calamitous happened during the final kick-off which ensured Thriller would advance.

Thriller up past Midnight
Thriller have played their final match of the regular season and secured their place in the finals to give themselves a chance at defending their title after downing another undefeated contender from the season, Midnight Malice, 1-0.

Thriller started the match in the unusual position of having some inducements and they decided to use that 50k on a Stunty Chainsaw Mercenary to wreak havoc if given the chance.

With beautiful weather and the most fans seen at a game this season, Thriller elected to receive, but seemed to be tired from the long season past and weren’t hitting to their usual high standard. Whilst they were effectively blocking, they weren’t as violent as usual. This led to a very protracted drive were the Malice were constantly pressuring the ball.

After a bit of shifting of their cage a number of times, Thriller looked to redirect their point of attack. However a failed dodge left a little opening which gave Malice a chance to knock the ball free. Luckily for Thriller they had the skill to place the ball exactly where they needed it. From here they were able to quickly retrieve it and run forward to score and take the lead, even if earlier than intended.

Thriller turned to their famously stout defence which has seen them perform strongly this season and quickly shutdown the efforts of the Malice before halftime.

In the second half, both teams could field full numbers on the pitch, which saw Thriller having to play a balanced and considered defence. Still despite not hitting as hard as they would have liked, they were still effectively blocking running lanes for the Malice.

As the Malice tried to redirect their attack a number of times, they soon found that despite the slower speed of Thriller, they were well drilled and never overcommitted, always causing a hindrance.

As it got too desperate times for Malice to try equalise though, they were unable to make the final pass connect, which left Thriller with their 7th victory and clean sheet for the season, plus the new record holders for longest undefeated streak.

Next up is the Semi Finals and a likely showdown with last seasons Grand Final opponents, the Drakenhof Knights. With the newly acquired record, have Thriller pushed their luck to far, or can they continue on to defend their title?

Thriller Win proves to be Tough
Thriller have fallen just short of another win in their latest match against Some Tough SOB's but kept their undefeated streak alive with a 1 all draw.

Thriller received first and went about getting as many hits as possible early against a full strength STS team who hired 3 mercenaries to assist them for this match.

The hits came thick and fast also with Thriller soon getting the numbers advantage they were working for, whilst also Killing STS's Ogre Andre the Giant before securing a 1-0 half time lead.

As the second half started, Thriller again were starting to get a numbers advantage and had started to pin STS down. But as soon as they felt pinned they pulled out their desperation play which saw them sneak down the sideline to get an equalising TD before Thriller would have got a decisive play on them.

With a quarter of the game remaining, Thriller looked to be in the box seat and were making steady progress down the pitch when STS started hitting harder than they had all game and caused a number of KO's to give them a numbers advantage.

Thriller saw the writing on the wall and decided they would speed their drive up. I their haste, Killer tripped up whilst trying to Rush and dropped the ball.

STS were unable to recover the ball themselves, however marking the ball was enough as Beast tried to collect it himself, but failed to pick it up.

The resulting throw-in from the crowd saw the ball in the middle of the pitch where STS were able to surround it themselves.

Beast again went searching for the ball and despite the mass of players around the ball, was able to Blitz the ball free, however again failed to pick the ball up which saw the game come to an end.

As places in the finals become hotly contested, Thriller will need to make sure of a sharp performance in their last round match to give themselves a chance at competing for back to back titles.

Don’t get Mad at another Thriller
After some technical difficulties with media, Thriller can finally report on their last start against Mad as Hell, continuing their strong season with a 2-0 win.

The match started with a couple of talented mercenaries joining the Hell to bolster their numbers and give them a quintet off guarders. Hell also won the toss and elected to receive.

It was a slow and steady start from the Hell who looked to build big cages for protection, however in this case, it gave Thriller the chance the pick off the stragglers and soon have a numbers advantage.

Once they had they advantage they were able to squeeze the cage and pop it open which saw the ball into the crowd and then thrown into the middle of the pitch.

Thriller were able to collect the ball from here and soon dashed away down field to head into halftime with the 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Thriller were able to continue on with their strong blocks and quickly found themselves with a numbers advantage in the second half.

With a comfortable protection set, Thriller took the opportunity to get one of their less likely players to get a touchdown, with Wacko the Flesh Golem getting the 3rd TD of his career.

With not benefit in rushing the last TD as it took time to get Wacko into position, Thriller waited until minimal time was left on the clock before scoring and giving themselves the almost guaranteed clean sheet again in the season.

Heavy snowfall Knight leads to Thriller
Thriller have played a top of the table clash and grand final replay after taking on the Drakenhof Knights at their home ground on Solid Stone floors and in Heavy Snowfall and managed to come away with a solid 2-0 win to secure top spot for themselves.

Thriller brought along a mercenary for the match to help absorb some of the hits which led to the Knights getting some Prayers to Nuffle. This led to some Bad Habits on 3 Thriller players, Thriller being Under Scrutiny and the Knights having Perfect Passing.

Thriller received first, and knowing that the Knights could pack a punch, went about removing as many of the Knights as they could, and whilst they took a little bit to get going, the Knights went even slower in the cold weather.

By midway through the first half, Thriller has removed most of the Knights from the pitch and were solidly in control, leading to the Knights remaining players stay down on the ground, fairly safe in the knowledge that the refs would see any fouls and instead saved themselves for the second half and a potential push back into the game.

In the second half, the Knights set up strongly on one side, but soon after were moving the ball to their weak side and soon found themselves turned over. Whilst Thriller couldn’t collect the ball straight away, they were able to surround the ball and soon took possession before running in their second TD.

With a quarter of the game remaining, the Knights showed heart and finally hurt some Thriller players and pushed for a TD of their own, however again they found themselves at the mercy of the Solid Stone floors and unable to get a redeeming TD.

Thriller Batts away Pink
Thriller have played their second vampire team and continued their strong start to the season with a 3-0 win over the Pink Batts.

Thriller saw the Batts hire some mercenaries to join them for the match, a couple of designated meat bags plus an bona fide big guy that they heard referred to as Morg Lite (Claw, Block, MB+2, +AV) by the Batts coach.

After hearing this name though, Thriller decided he was a target, and despite not receiving, when they saw him move out of the line after the first round of blocks, they took their chance, sent Killer on a mission, and got their man on the first attempt, Badly Hurting him.

From here, Thriller started to continually pick off Batts players before comfortably turning over the Batts, recovering the ball, and running the ball down the pitch for the opening TD, easily fending off any feeble attempts from the Batts to get the ball back.

By the end of the first half, the Batts were suffering a number of casualties and knock outs, down 1-0 on the scoreboard which has obviously knocked their confidence, as they didn’t want to come back.

In the second half, the ball handling was a bit sloppy by Thriller, but thanks to their consistent hitting, found plenty of numbers in their favour, and soon were able to secure another TD.

As the game was closing though, Thriller hadn’t seen a player leave the field whilst the Batts could only field 3 players, they were easily able to pressure and recover the ball, to quickly sneak in a 3rd TD before the final siren to secure another strong win.

Thriller survive some broken Bones
Thriller matched up against the first of the Undead teams they’ll verse this season, The Strolling Bones, and despite taking some punishment, managed to secure the win late with some desperate defence.

The Bones kicked off and with the assistance of some last minute mutations from Professor Fronkelheim. Thriller we’re up for the challenge though and made some inroads and managed to remove one of the players with a mutation.

However as the half progressed, Thriller stuttered a little bit, as one of the mutations, a Prehensile Tail made dodging a bit harder and soon found the ball carrier under a lot of pressure.

Thriller were able to recover though and soon got into a position of relative safety. With the half nearing an end, Thriller decided that trying to hurt the Bones would be a a good plan, but soon found out that the Mummies from the Bones would do it better. Thriller still managed to score though and set themselves up for a lead.

As the second half started, the Mummies kept hitting hard, however Thriller were able to instead use speed to their advantage to put a lot of pressure on the Bones ball carriers whilst also removing both the Bones’ Wights in quick succession.

Thriller soon we’re turning over the Bones after rushing down field, but the Bones were determined and soon were able to turn the ball back over quickly.

And as Thriller stumbled a few times from regulation dodges, soon made a bit of a break to try get the equaliser.

Thriller became desperate though and with their speed still in their pocket and a dropped catch helping keep the Bones with better range, Thriller were able to stop the momentum.

Late with the ball loose, Thriller tried to get the ball deep themselves, but a failed dodge again left the Bones in with a sniff of an equaliser, however they in turn failed their own dodge and fell short of the equaliser leaving Thriller as the 1-0 winner.

Thriller perform the best Stunts
Thriller have taken on the first of the vampire teams they’ll verse this season against the Cunning Stunts and come away with a strong 3-0 win despite some famous stars joining the Stunts.

The Stunts managed to find enough money to convince both Frank’n’Stein and Helmut Wulf to play for them and whilst Frank tried to earn his money, Helmut wasn’t around long enough to have justified the cost.

The Stunts received first and tried their best to position strongly and hurt Thriller as much as possible, but Thriller came out even stronger, injuring both a Vampire and Helmut straight away and giving themselves an immediate numbers advantage.

With the numbers on their side, Thriller soon turned the ball over and tried to wither the Stunts numbers more before scoring late in the half.

In the second half, Thriller were in a strong position with a strong numbers advantage and put tremendous pressure on the Stunts. Throughout the half they kept up the pressure scoring quickly to take a 2-0 lead.

As they kicked off again, they used their numbers advantage to quickly turnover the Stunts again before securing the last TD and continuing their strong start to the season.

Thriller still Chosen of the Gods
Thriller have started their second season with a win in their season opener against a rookie Chaos team, Chosen of the 6 Gods, with a commanding 3-0 margin.

The Chosen might not have been stars themselves, but then managed to convince a star to join them and an entourage of famous staff, including a Chaos Wizard, Papa Skullbones, Schielund Scharlitan and Hakflem Skuttlespike.

The match started with a High Kick as Thriller received the first kickoff, but knowing there were extra rewards available for specific plays in this season opener, Thriller has half a mind towards those goals rather than just focusing on scoring.

As a result, it seemed like Thriller were actually off their game a bit and were hardly able to hurt the rookie Chaos players, or even necessarily hold the ball the whole time.

As the half was nearing an end, Thriller had secured the ball after a few back and forth plays and were in a position to score just as a Thunderbolt came from the direction of the Chosen dugout causing the ball to come loose. Thriller however were still in a good position and still managed to collect the ball, and headed into the break with a 1-0 lead.

As the second half started, the Chosen were able to posture well into Thriller’s half, however their attempt to cage fell apart too soon and left a relatively risk free gap for Thriller to take advantage of, and soon then had secured the ball themselves and injured the Minotaur on the way.

Half way through the half, they scored and got ahead 2-0 and with the mojo coming back in the second half, they started casting an eye again to some of the rewarded plays.

As the game got started again, the Chosen were suffering with a lack of numbers and were soon overwhelmed and unable to keep the ball in their hands. From here Thriller secured the ball and quickly got themselves in an untouchable position.

S as the game was beating an end, they went for their most unnecessary play of the game, the Dynamic Landing, which was a success before scoring a further TD and as a result, continued the team’s undefeated run.

A Thriller on Championship Knight
Thriller have snuck home with the victory in the dying seconds against the Drakenhof Knights in the WCL Championship match, winning 2-1.

It was the top 2 teams facing off for the grand prize, both teams coming in with some strong form and strong coaches who have previously delivered teams Championships and even faced off in a final before.

The match started off in Sweltering Heat, Thriller received first, and they brought along some star power in the form of Bryce “The Slice” Cambuel.

The Knights started with some Solid Defence, trying to slow down and man up more Thriller players. As the game progressed, both teams managed to slowly remove opponent players from the field, however nothing permanent was forthcoming. Throughout though, Thriller have solidly kept the ball safe and managed to secure a TD right at the last minute.

As the drive ended, a successful Argue of the Call on Bryce meant he was able to stay in the match, but after suffering from the Sweltering Heat, he wasn’t to come back after the halftime break.

In the second half, again Thriller suffered a lot from the Sweltering Heat, however they still managed to eventually dislodge and recover the ball from the Knights after a “cutting” blitz by Bryce.

It was short lived though as the ball was immediately dislodged and recovered by the Knights who scored straight away.

As the subsequent last drive started, it was the first time that Thriller adjusted to the Heat better. However the knights started to find their range better with their blocking and started removing some Thriller players.

Thriller started to see the writing on the wall and saw that some desperate moves were required. After getting pinned on a sideline, they managed to make a little break deep into the backfield.

Once deep the Knights also saw that they needed to be a bit more desperate as well and managed to get one player back to dislodge the ball. Thriller managed to get just 1 werewolf in to support after some desperate disadvantaged blitz and dodging into tackle zones.

To try catch the action, the Knights got a zombie back to mark the werewolf, but the resulting pick up attempt failed, and after the crowd played keep away for a little bit, the ball finished next to the Knights zombie.

From here Thriller managed to get some support from the ghoul downfield before the werewolf blitzed the zombie off the ball and then secured the ball and scored to win on the siren.

The result sees coach Watto win his fourth WCL season and remain the only coach to win multiple WCL seasons.

A Thriller Heralds Championship match
Thriller are the first team to secure a place in the WCL Championship match after playing a very controlled game in the Pouring Rain against Perun Heralds 863 with a 1-0 win.

Thriller started off receiving and again came up against some Solid Defence, which coincidentally worked against the Heralds. With 7 players manning up against Thriller, all were quickly put on their bum which gave Thriller a chance to settle with the ball and see where the gap would eventuate.

Much like their last match, Thriller were just KO’ing their opponents rather than really hurting them, but it still gave them the opportunity to wind down the clock and score the first TD very late in the half.

The Heralds looked to try level at the half with an OTTD opportunity for the Halfling, however the Pouring Rain stopped the opportunity short as they weren’t even able to gather the ball.

In the second half, both teams were basically full strength, except for the Heralds who were down 1 Blitzer. This time the Heralds were able to gather the ball and they tried to settle into a cage.

However some poor efforts by the Ogre gave Thriller an opportunity to start applying pressure on the Heralds and removing some more players off the pitch. After a few turns off swinging from side to side. The Heralds were finally caught and soon lost possession of the ball.

Thriller continued to play their control style and soon surrounded the ball before gathering it up themselves. And as the siren was about to sound, Thriller were guaranteed to win the match, so tried a final hand-off to score a 2nd TD, however the Pouring Rain continued to play havoc and no TD was scored.

Cut-Throat not the expected Thriller
Thriller have secured 2nd place in the final season standings and given themselves a chance at competing for the WCL Championship after going undefeated and finishing with a 2-2 draw in their last round match against the Crookback Cut-throats.

The match started with Thriller receiving, but they weren’t able to get the easy start they were hoping for as the Crookback came up with some Solid Defence.

However it wasn’t long before Thriller were able to gather the ball and start pushing their way up field.

Despite being the most violent team up to this point of the season, Thriller eased off in this match and were only managing KO’s instead of any casualties. And through all this, the Crookback were able able to keep pressure on Thriller and caused them to score sooner than they’d have liked.

Leading 1-0 there was still plenty of time in the first half left and the Crookback were able to sneak through enough to get an equalising TD on the siren.

In the second half again, the Crookback were able to sneak in a TD to get themselves ahead.

Thriller weren’t concerned being behind, but still hadn’t started hitting any harder, so with no guarantee of a strong number advantage, they opted not to push into scoring quickly and instead settled for a draw.

Thriller were up for overtime in this game, however the Crookback were also satisfied with the result and decided overtime wasn’t necessary.

Thriller Heralds potential finals.
Thriller have survived a tough game unscathed against a determined Perun Heralds 863 team in a rain drenched match which resulted in a 2-2 draw and has just about secured a finals berth for Thriller.

The match started in the Pouring Rain, and despite this, Thriller elected to receive. Some Solid Defence from the Heralds ensured Thriller would have to be sure of themselves in the early exchanges, but with the ball secured, Thriller had some Stunning periods that left many Heralds players on the pitch and gave Thriller opportunities to settle deep in the Heralds backfield.

Once there, Thriller lingered for long periods to try deny the Heralds the ball. However with a lack of penetration to their hits as the half progressed, the makeshift wall was no longer deemed safe and Thriller took the opportunity to score from there.

From the resulting kickoff, Thriller however stumbled early in the movement and were unable to cover the Heralds deep downfield, and when the resulting pass was caught, the scores were level at half time.

In the second half, a deep kick and some poor ball handling from the Heralds gave Thriller a chance to pressure downfield. When the Heralds finally did collect the ball, the effort to try get into a cage saw them falter and the back spill free.

From their, both teams found themselves more content to try surround the ball rather than attempt to pick up the ball. Spying a slight opportunity to potentially push into a threatening position though, Thriller boldly went to collect the ball, and despite the ever present rain, and the attention of an Ogre, Thriller collected the ball and raced free. From here they were able to secure a go ahead TD.

At the next kickoff, a failed pick up put the pressure on the Heralds to get an equaliser. With many Thriller players around potential receivers, it was a failed Block by a rookie Flesh Golem, that gave a slight opening to the Heralds.

However some strong blocking from the Heralds in turn, saw them grasp the opportunity for a leveling score, which they took with glee.

With moments on the clock, fortune went against Thriller again, as a deep kick and a far too efficient Block caused Thriller to remain just out of range for a OTTD.

With the team still healthy at the end of the match, Thriller decided discretion was the better part of valour and declined the opportunity for overtime to keep players healthy leading into the finals.

A Thriller in the Klub
Thriller have put themselves in the box seat for a finals position after a strong 3-1 win against fellow Commissioner team Hrvatski Nihon Klub.

Thriller kicked to start the match and started to hit with the usual intent they’ve become known for, causing casualties early and often.

However Thriller were taken a bit by surprise when HNK were able to switch direction quickly and score the opening TD of the match.

Thriller steadied quickly though and evened up the score by halftime, thanks to again hurting their opponent and creating a solid numbers advantage.

Through the second half, with more casualties caused Andy space opening up for Thriller everywhere, they were able to pick apart HNK twice more.

The third TD for Thriller though involved a little scrambling and the first completion from the team as they showed some versatility this time.

Thriller secured the eventual win 3-1.

Fans keep Skulls in a Thriller
Thriller have continued their dominant season with a strong win against a luckless Scrap Iron Skulls team, scoring the 3-0 win, but also decimating the Skulls before their next match.

Thriller started by kicking to the Skulls and were a little weary knowing the Skulls, after some Prayers to Nuffle, had done some Intensive Training and prepared the crowd to Throw a rock if required.

As the match got underway, Thriller got the crowd involved early by Blitzing a goblin into them, which they Badly Hurt with glee.

As the match progressed, Thriller were able to start getting a strong numbers advantage, even killing a goblin before turning over the Skulls and securing the ball for themselves.

Thriller looked to get the crowd involved again by knocking a Black Orc into the crowd, who had his throwing arm injured. But Thriller didn’t want the crowd too involved, so once they were in range to score, they scored their first TD.

As the match entered the second half, Thriller has a strong numbers advantage and were able to continue their smashing of the Skulls. Injuring another couple of opponents before scoring their second TD.

With moments left in the game, Thriller organised the Perfect Defence and got themselves into a position to threaten a third TD. And without the players to resist, the Skulls were unable to hold back the tide as Thriller scored their final TD.

Next up for Thriller is HNK.

Thriller run Wyld in the Wood
Thriller have continued on their winning run after dispatching a resilient Wyldwood Wanderers with another 2-1 win.

The Wanderers started by receiving and whilst Thriller were able to mount a solid defence and stopped the Wanderer's in their tracks, they weren't hitting as hard as they have in previous matches.

Despite Pouring Rain making handling difficult, Beast and Wacko were able to make a break downfield which the Wanderers gave up even trying to stop, allowing Wacko to eventually figure out how to use his hands and successfully score as the match neared halftime.

As the second half started, the weather cleared and Thriller who were now receiving, took advantage of the speed they possessed themselves, to swing down the opposite flank of the Wanderers as they committed too hard to one flank themselves. After creating a gap, Thriller pushed for the quick score to get themselves out to a comfortable 2-0 lead.

As the match restarted though, the Wanderers took heart from the vicious fouling they had been committing and dragged themselves back into the match. Pushing hard down a sideline and surviving they attempted blocks to peg back the score a little.

With a small amount of time remaining, Thriller had to defend hard after a failed block lead to an opening for the Wanderers to be able to threaten to score. however some strong blocks and a necessary foul put an end to the Wanderers scoring threat and the match ended.

Thriller rued their missed opportunities to injure their opponents, making the match closer than they wanted it to be, however look forward to an opponent who has been putting in strong appearances themselves this season, the Scrap Iron Skulls.

Thriller show complete Malice
Thriller have had a supremely dominant display in defence help them to a 2-1 over the Midnight Malice, that could have easily been more.

Thriller started off the match by kicking and by turn 2, were removing Malice players from the game. A controlled defensive drive by Thriller saw them suffocate the Malice and eventually get the ball and have a free run to the end zone. But giving themselves a stronger numbers advantage as they went, they continued to slowly take their time to score.

To start the second half, Malice were only able to field 5 players. Thriller took advantage of this fact and used the opportunity to score with their Flesh Golem Wacko.

From the next kick-off, Thriller were again intent on giving Wacko a chance to score, however fell short in stopping Malice from scoring themselves.

The last drive again saw Thriller pushing for another TD, again with Wacko, and despite getting him downfield close enough to be able to score, being in a tackle zone at the end resulted in him being unable to catch the ball and saw the game come to an end.

Voodoo can't hold Thriller back
Thriller have continued their strong start to the season with a dominant win over the Snotlings of the Voodoo Lounge Screamers with a 3-0 win.

It was a game that played out similarly to their first match, however the key difference though this match was that in the first half, Thriller were able to injure many Snotlings and leave the field looking much emptier in the second half.

Leading 1-0 at the half, Thriller got a little cocky in their set-up, forgetting about the Bomba still on the pitch, costing Thriller a few players for the rest of the match.

It didn't stop them from scoring easily though and stopping the Voodoo. Thriller managed to score twice through the second half and nearly cleared the pitch whilst doing it.

Thrilling start by soaring like Eagles
Thriller had kicked off the season with a strong 3-1 win against the Solar Eagles as they displayed a solid defensive effort which later translated to a strong scoring effort.

Thriller started the match with a Pray to Nuffle regarding Necessary Violence, and despite being violent getting their opponents to the ground, they were unable to remove them from the pitch and take advantage of the extra SPP on offer, despite stalling to score.

With a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half, Thriller scored quickly in the second half with a view of earning more money.

The Solar Eagles then managed to get a TD in, however they still left time for Thriller to score again if they were good enough. And good enough they were, finishing the game strongly.
