Tribute

Retired!
Race:  Daemons of Khorne
Coach:  Watto
Description
"Play the best BB in the world, or I'll eat your soul."

"Okay"

We played the first thing that came to our heads, just so happened to be the best BB in the World, the best BB in the World.

Needless to say, the beast was stunned. And the beast was done.

This is not the greatest BB team in the world, no.
This is just a Tribute.

Couldn't remember the greatest BB in the World, no. This is a tribute, to the greatest BB in the world.

And the peculiar thing is this: The BB we played on that fateful night it didn't look anything like this BB.

Tribute can't Shuffle further
Tribute have salvaged a draw in their final round against the Sheffield Shufflers, but were a victim of their own poor form, being unable to reach the finals.

Tribute were first to receive and started in ordinary form. They looked to move the ball from one flank to another, but 1 bad block gave the speedy Shufflers the opportunity they needed to disrupt the move. Both teams spent the remainder of the half competing for the ball with neither team able to take full control and get ahead I the scoreboard.

In the second half the Shufflers showed they were keen to score quickly found space open up a bit for them when Shiny Demon balked during a block opportunity.

Tribute tried their best to bring down the elusive werewolf, however stumbled at the crucial moment which meant the werewolf could just dodge away and get the Shufflers ahead.

From here Tribute again got the ball and tried desperately to move the ball downfield. The Shufflers managed to knock the ball free, however Nay used his Kingmaker Play to secure the ball, Blitz free and score to level the game. With a Team Talk straight after, Tribute were keen to finish with style.

With moments left in the game, the Shufflers set up deep and denied themselves the chance for a winning TD. When they saw that Tribute may be in range for a possible TD themselves, they retreated just out of range meaning that neither tram could add to their 1 TD.

Tribute not chosen by Valkireez
Tribute have again struggled to make an impression on their opposition and again have lost, this time to the Kensintun Valkireez which has put their playoff hopes in serious doubt.

Tribute were limping into the match with barely enough players, so they recruited the help of a mercenary and an extra apothecary to try stand up to the brutality sure to be handed out by the Valkireez.

Tribute received first and struggled to make progress initially, but were able to make a cross field sweep which gave them a little bit of space and left the Valkireez chasing them. It was a slow push, but late in the half the Tribute were able to get a TD which had been a long time coming in comparison to their previous games.

With minimal time remaining, the Valkireez tried to push for the TD. Tribute saw it coming a tried to set up a double layer of defence, however the Valkireez had their dancing shoes on and dodged their way with more grace than an Orc usually possess to get the unlikely TD to level the scores at half time.

In the second half, the Tribute were making many mistakes early in a desperate attempt to get the ball away from the Valkireez, however the Valkireez experience shone through and they managed to secure the ball to get the go ahead TD.

When it cam e time for the Tribute to receive again, they were desperate by then to get a draw, however this only lead to them committing more mistakes and gave the Valkireez another chance to score which they did with ease to finish the game with a 3-1 victory.

Tribute will need to rely on a win themselves in the last round an a number of results to go their way if they wish to progress any further this season.

Tribute left at the Mouth of Hell
Tribute have continued on their losing streak, this time getting absolutely mauled by the Hellmouth Demons, going down 3-0 with a number of injuries hampering them as well.

Tribute kicked off and looked to have an early opportunity to start tying the ball up, but just as they were getting set to deliver a blow, Shiny Demon got distracted by the many Tribute fans who showed up at the game.

From here the missed opportunity lead to Tribute starting to get beaten up a bit and losing numbers fairly quickly. Shiny Demon spent many turns being distracted by the crowd until it got to the point where some came and stood next to him, which then enticed him to play the game.

It soon took a toll on Tribute and it was inevitable that they would give up the opening TD and have no chance to level the score in the first half.

Encouraging players to return to the field was also hard for Tribute who only just managed to go in with 11 players.

With a numbers disadvantage in the second half, Tribute tried to pass their way out of trouble, however failed in this endeavour, which lead to the Demons being able to dash away and score a decisive TD.

Trying to play for pride from here on, Shiny Demon failed early which left a big hole in Tribute's line and resulted in them not being able to stop the Demons from rushing through again and scoring a game deciding 3rd TD.

With 2 games left, Tribute are balanced on the edge of the playoff picture and need to start getting some results if they want to play further games this season.

Tribute shot to bits by Gunners
Tribute have suffered a second loss in a row after failing to make much of a dent in the Gunners impressive armour and finding their own armour pitifully inadequate.

Tribute started the match receiving the ball, but quickly found that the staff at the Gunners field had set them up for failure with a Sprinkler Malfunction making any ball handling extremely difficult.

The Gunners came out punching hard though and despite Tribute being able to collect the ball early, there weren't many teammates around to give the ball carrier much support. Feeling like there was little options available with the Gunners closing in, Tribute attempted an ill fated pass which resulted in them losing the ball and struggling to collect it again for the rest of the half.

Shiny Demon had a horrid game where he spent more than half of it screaming at the air struggling to stay in the real world.

With neither team being able to collect the ball in the first half, the scores were still level at 0-0.

In the second half the Gunners had a good man advantage and with some helpful skills like Guard, were able to adequately hold back Tribute and stay away from Shiny Demon to score late in the half.

By this time Tribute were trying any possible play that might work, but still fell short of even coming close to levelling the score as they finished with 3 players on the pitch.
